Lumaco’s Minidisc® has been re-engineered into the Doubledisc series of multi-port disc shut-off valves. Lumaco’s Doubledisc is a sanitary divert valve meeting the requirements of 3-A Sanitary Standards. With one stem controlling two ports, one half turn of the Doubledisc handle causes quick, positive shut-off in one port while opening the other port completely.
As a hydraulically balanced disc valve, the Doubledisc offers lower flow resistance than a standard divert valve and is excellent as a regulating valve. Flush draining with no sump- two leak detector holes warn the operator of faulty stem O-rings. Engineered for trouble-free maintenance, the Doubledisc can be dismantled in seconds with just a twist of the heavy-duty clamp pin – no tools required!
Lumaco’s Doubledisc series of valves is constructed of grade 316 stainless steel and available in 2″, 2 1/2″ and 3″ sizes with a maximum rated in-line flow pressure of 125psi. The only elements that ever need replacing are the two seats and two stem O-rings. Choices of seat materials include PTFE, Buna, Silicone, EPDM and FKM. Stem O-rings are available in Buna, FKM, EPDM and Silicone or another elastomer upon request. Standard options for customization of the Doubledisc series of valves include air actuation, spring locking handles and user selection of any combination of weld, clamp or threaded inlets/outlets. DIN 11864 inlets/outlets and custom fittings are available as special orders.
